The Northwest Passage

I recently returned from quite possibly the most epic journey I may ever endure in my lifetime. I’d like to think that there are many more epic adventures ahead of me, and I am sure there are, but there are not many people that can say they are the few who have sailed through the Northwest Passage. I still can’t quite believe it myself. To put it into perspective, only 297 vessels have completed the Northwest Passage since 1906. There were have been 430 transits and Dogbark was #394.

As the official scribe for Dogbark (our home for 7,000nm), I am so grateful I was able to capture our experiences in their blog. Perhaps someday I will get around to writing my own personal version of it, but for now you will have to head over to their site for all the good stories and photos from the last three months.

Trip highlights:

• Yes, we saw polar bears (ran into one on the beach) and belugas, but no narwhals.

• Connecting with other adventure sailors.
