Oh the Head and The Heart…Seattle’s latest folk band gaining traction. I have heard much about them and randomly discovered they were playing a free show at Sonic Boom…just down the street from me. It was for Record Store Day and I miraculously ended up with a front row spot in the overpacked store.
Lovely harmonies and easy listening on the ears. I’d like to hear more from Charity, their fiddle player, but from the record, I was drawn to their pianist. Who unfortunately didn’t play this day. It was an unplugged acoustic session, and maybe a keyboard wouldn’t quite fit on stage. I was disappointed, but enjoyed the brief show.
I don’t think I’ll be paying $35 to see them at The Moore anytime…but if you happen to come upon them like I did, their worth taking a gander.
