My third home – Traditional Turkish Tent

Sunrise from tent window

I finally got myself moved into my new room. My original cave room was a little too dark for my taste (even though its marvelously cool and fresh during the day). If I wake up in a dark room I tend to just stay asleep and don’t wake up with the same energy as I do when I wake up with daylight. So Unal suggested I stay in the nomad-tent. I was pretty stoked on this idea, because sleeping outside is one of my favorite things to do. Plus Brandon had told me all about this cool tent and I was really looking forward to it.

Patio view

The tent is spacious, comfy, and even has some floor pillows lined up for a sitting area and a nice little table and a couple night lamps. It also has wi-fi so I can skype any of you folks from the rooftop of FCI. The tent is perfect for these summer nights…with a window right by the bed, a gentle summer breeze comes in and I fall asleep every night stargazing through my window. It’s AMAZING. I can’t decide what I like more, falling sleep underneath the stars, or waking up to the sunrise and sounds of hot air balloons drifting in the distance.

My first morning in the tent was so amazing, I got up at 5:30 and sat on my patio that is just steps from the tent watching the balloons in the distance come closer and closer over the next hour and a half. It really is amazing. I just felt like I was in an entirely different world.

In any case, I am loving waking up to this every morning. And its fun having two rooms. 🙂
