The Yingblooms Get Hitched!

Andrew and Phyllis have got to be the most genuinely HAPPIEST people I have ever met. Their smiles exhilarate and energize any room they walk into. Now to be fair, I did get to see them on what is supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, and to be honest, I think that this day truly was theirs. Their love and being surrounded by their friends and family showed through on every level.

I met Andrew long ago on a hiking trip (was supposed to find hot springs, but found a frozen lake instead), and thanks to the world of Facebook, he and his girlfriend Phyllis watched me document my way around the world and gave me the honor of documenting their wedding day.

As fast paced as these road runners normally live their lives, their wedding day could not have gone any smoother and it was amazing to see how stress-free and easy this day was for them (No doubt partially in thanks to Maggie, their day-of coordinator).

Set at the UW Botanical Gardens (which is a beautiful venue to begin with), the Yingblooms TRANSFORMED their reception room. I wish I had taken before photos. But just imagine your typical nice, but bland college conference room. Doesn’t scream romance. But they turned a mute conference room into something out of a natural and classy affair. Check the photos below!

I’ve seriously never been to a wedding with better dancers. Most everyone was dancing, which is AWESOME. Reliving the day through these photos has been really fun.

I love this photo as Phyllis was on her way to meet Andrew for a first look, a bunch of bugs got stuck between the layers of the dress and everyone came to the rescue to get them out. It was so classic. Things you don’t plan for on your wedding day.

My favorite of the whole day (below). Just look at Andrew’s face. Pure happiness.

First the standard formals…

Now onto the fun stuff!

I believe dinosaurs may have been the inspiration for the one below.

Onto the show!

I love the excitement in Phyllis’s face as they get ready to sign their marriage certificate.

Post ceremony hugs!

The couple takes a moment to breath and enjoy their new rings!

Now time to party!

I still can’t get over this conference room turned into fairy tale gala. Simply AMAZING.

Congratulations Dr. Phyllis Ying and Mr. Andrew Lingbloom! You two are the so inspiring, I hope to channel a fraction of your energy and inspiration in what I do. <3
